The New Forest National Park can be found on the south-central coast of England and is situated within the beautiful county of Hampshire.

The map shown below illustrates the Park location within Great Britain and an approximation of its boundaries. Please note these are not to scale. For a more detailed view of the area, please take a look at the page featuring a clear view of the New Forest map.

The New Forest National Park covers an area of around 220 square miles and includes approximately 15 miles of coast between Calshot Castle, the most easterly point and Hurst Castle, the most southerly point. It also stretches northwards to Whiteparish and westwards to Ringwood. Situated on the easterly side is Southampton Water, but the National Park boundary falls just short of this.

The main tourist centre can be found in Lyndhurst which lies almost in the geographical centre of the National Park.
