Walk The Ober Water Trail
After you have settled in, there are numerous forest walks to be enjoyed right on the doorstep. Easily accessed directly from the campsite, following the relaxing Ober Water Trail is really recommended and there is plenty of opportunity to take in the beautiful scenery composed of ancient trees and the serene Ober Water.
Alternatively, Brockenhurst village can be easily reached from Aldridge Hill Caravan Park and Campsite. If it`s a pint you`re after, then this quintessential English village offers a small selection of good pubs to indulge in a refreshing drink or two. There are also a number of good shops and cafes to browse or maybe stock up on camping provisions.
For other great things to do near Aldridge Hill, then the world famous Beaulieu Motor Museum is just a few short miles away. The historic ship building village of Buckler’s Hard, a stones throw from Beaulieu and Southampton Docks with its array of ocean liners are also perhaps worth a visit.
Red Deer Sanctuary
Aldridge Hill offers the perfect location for exploring the central New Forest area. Ober Heath, which also happens to be a red deer sanctuary and Whitefield Moor, a large and very popular open grassy lawn, are both within a few minutes walk from the campsite. Whitefield Moor is a fantastic place for a relaxing picnic or a game of rounders with the kids.
Aldridge Hill Campsite has 170 pitches but please be advised that there are no toilets, showers, electricity or hard standing at this site, so your own chemical toilet is essential.

How To Get To Aldridge Hill Campsite And Caravan Park
Approaching from Brockenhurst in the east, turn right at the watersplash end (western end) of Brookely Road, or The Rise off Sway Road, onto Burley Road. This shortly becomes Rhinefield Road and bears round to the left. Follow this road for about a mile until you reach Beacham Wood car park on the right, at the point where the road enters a large open grassy expanse. Turn into and drive past the car park, follow the signs to the campsite.
Coming from the west, turn off the A35 at Rhinefield and follow the Ornamental Drive until you pass Ober Water and Whitefield Moor on the left, the Beacham Wood car park is at the end of Whitefield Moor, on the left.
