This popular New Forest location is set in 22 hectares of beautiful oak woodland with vistas of the surrounding tranquil Heathland. Located on the northern fringes of Brockenhurst, this is the closest village to the campsite, just a short 10 minute stroll away. The lively village has numerous pubs and restaurants, plus a nice selection of quaint little shops plus a bank if needed.
One of the largest Camping in The Forest New Forest Campsites, Hollands Wood offers 6oo pitches and full amenities. The campsite has also been previously recognised with a prestigious silver David Bellamy Conservation Award for the great work they do in the local area.
Various walking and cycle paths in every direction are easily accessible from Hollands Wood Campsite and the popular, expansive picnic site of Balmer Lawn situated next to the Lymington River is only a short walk along the road. Whilst there, witness the abundant wildlife that inhabit the banks of this enchanting waterway, it`s the perfect spot for a long leisurely lunch and spending time watching the kids enjoy themselves.
During the months April to September, the rivers and streams of the New Forest are home to a variety of species which include multi coloured dragonflies and damselflies. Twenty species of fish are also present in the forest waterways, which may feature eels and pike to brown trout. The smooth green grassy areas next to the waterways are known as lawns and were formed during times of flood. This happens when the water breaches the banks and deposits minerals that enrich the soil, which in turn sustains the lush surrounding grassy areas.

Hollands Wood Campsite and Caravan Park is very family-friendly and popular with families, groups and young people alike. If you are a dog owner, then you will be delighted to learn that this campsite welcomes dogs and want them to enjoy their stay too. There is a small charge per night however for each dog you bring.
It is highly recommended to book in advance during high season to avoid potential disappointment. This campsite benefits from regular Ranger Activities and there are no shortage of attractions within easy reach. In addition, this campsite is well designed and very spacious so along with being ideally situated, you and your family will never be short of things to do!
Bear in mind that there is no electricity on site, however, there are shower and toilet blocks, disabled facilities, baby wash and change areas, laundry facilities and a dog shower.

How To Get To Hollands Wood Campsite And Caravan Park
The Hollands Wood Campsite and Caravan Park entrance is on the A337 road near the Balmer Lawn Hotel, on the northern edge of Brockenhurst.
Coming from the Lyndhurst direction, drive for just under 3 miles. You’ll see the campsite on your left amongst the trees of Hollands Wood, the entrance is just as the trees end and the Balmer Lawn begins. Coming out of Brockenhurst, cross the Lymington River and turn right into the site immediately after the Balmer Lawn Hotel.
